Tomas Romero

Tomas Ernesto Romero our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away Sunday October 25, 2020 at his home in Des Montes. Tomas was born in 1925 to Donaciano and Crucita Romero. He was the only son with seven older sisters. Tomas was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II. He participated in the European Theatre of War and fought in The Battle of the Bulge.  Tomas married Maria Juanita Martinez on November 7, 1949, his 24th birthday in Arroyo Seco N.M. Together they raised five sons. He was a hard worker and had a dry sense of humor. Tomas enjoyed watching baseball, boxing, and raising cows. He will be forever missed. . He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Juanita and sons, Richard Romero and Reynaldo Romero.

Tomas is survived by his sons, Donaciano(Rosalie) Romero, Leo(Olga) Romero, Ronald(Kim) Romero, daughters-in-law, Gloria and Pam Romero, 14 grandchildren,and 16 great-grandchildren, sister, Claudina R. Torres, and sister-in-law, Eva Martinez. Private family services will be held Friday October 30, 2020. Military honors and interment will be at the Santa Fe national cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
