Tommy Gene Medina, loving dad, son, brother, uncle, and fiancé who captured the hearts and admiration of so many, passed away unexpectedly on July 13, 2019 from a sudden illness.
Tommy was born on November 6, 1971, in Santa Fe, NM. He was a devoted Cowboys Fan, loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, and cooking. He loved music, especially hard rock and heavy metal. He was a hard worker, outgoing with an amazing sense of humor. He touched many lives in a positive way. His favorite time of year was salmon snagging at Navajo Lake with the Love of his life Roberta. He was full of life and was loved by so many.
He is proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents Margaret and Gilbert Ulibarri; paternal grandparents Joe and Ruby Medina; uncles Robert and David Ulibarri, and Pat Catanach.
He is survived by his fiancé Roberta Martinez; parents Tom and Melinda Medina; children Nicole (Margie) Medina-Gomez and Justine Medina Valencia; sister Yvette (Cody) Medina; niece Miranda King; nephew Nikko Romero; great-niece Neah Montano; great-nephew Jace Montano; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 7:00pm at the Kiva Chapel of Light at Rivera Family Funeral Home, 417 Rodeo Road in Santa Fe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 10:00am at St. Anne’s Parish.
Pallbearers include Christopher Catanach, Cody Romero and Nikko Romero.
