Our Most Beloved Father was an excellent dad. He role-modeled formidability of strength/courage and true compassion. He was peaceful man and took the higher road throughout his life time. He ran from Santa Fe to the Santuario as a young man more than once, only stopping in Pojoaque to drink some water. He was chosen as the best basketball player in Santa Fe for the All Star basketball team to compete in state competitions. He had numerous trophies. Most of all, he had a darling heart and loyalty to Familia. He is recognized as the last true Familia Patriarch of Traditional Values by his daughter, Adrienne V. Romero (Area, Ethnic, Cultural Teacher). He will be miss and remembered forever by his Familia for being a Familia Real Rey.
Our heartfelt gratitude to his loving girlfriend & bestfriend, Janet Woodward, Amanda & her care giver team, Jan’s landlord, the paramedics, Holy Cross Hospital staff and the most gracious and truly competent Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit –Palliative care staff at UNM.
