Tranquilino Cordova Jr. from Chamisal, NM. passed away on January 30, 2022 in a Santa Fe hospital. He was born on January 17, 1938 in Llano, NM.
Tranquilino loved the mountains, and his passion was hunting and fishing. His grandchildren remember him to love Western movies and John Wayne; he also made the best Rainbow Trout after a long day of fishing for his family. Tranquilino was known to be eager to fix anything that needed work on his property and always ready to help others in need. Most of all, he is remembered to have loved spending time with his family and was a beloved father, grandfather, and brother.
He is survived by his sons, Randy Cordova (Danielle) of Salt Lake City, UT and Philip Cordova of Las Vegas, NV; ex-wife, Bennie Fernandez of Truchas, NM, 4 granddaughters (Stephanie (Mike), Joann (Abel), Kathleen (Jeff), Allison (Alex)), 1 grandson (Matthew (Sydney)), 5 step grandchildren (Kylon (Madi), Tyler, Kaleb, Kaya, Gabriel), 7 great-grandchildren (Nola, Zayden, Ariana, Celeste, Mirah, Ella, Johnny) his brother, Roy (Helen) of Albuquerque, his sister Connie Duran of Salt Lake City, Utah . Tranquilino is proceeded in death by his parents, Sofia Abeyta and Tranquilino Sr., and his beloved son, Juan. He is also preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters.
A funeral service and burial will be held on a later date in Chamisal, NM.
