Vera Teresa Yuma

Vera Teresa Yuma, age 64, passed away in her hometown of Taos, NM on November 12, 2024.

Vera was born in October of 1960 to Rose and Dicky Yuma in Dixon New Mexico.

Vera was a loving and caring mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was an amazing mother to two children- Nicholas and Joseph Morgas. She loved her “boys” beyond measure.

Vera was well known for her employment at Tierras de Taos as an escrow officer. Many members of the Taos community remember her for her knowledge, her kindness, her willingness to help, and her attention to detail at her job. She made lasting friendships that followed her to the end of her life.

Vera was described as elegant and beautiful inside and out. She loved beading and made beautiful creations. She had other passions that included a love for cats, gardening, and crocheting.

Her family treasured, loved, and adored her. Her friends who were many will miss and continue to love her.

Vera is survived by her dear son Nicholas Morgas, Mother Rose Pacheco (Frank), brother Jacob Pacheco (Yvette), Johnny Yuma (Pam), and Jeffrey Padilla (Connie), and sisters Barbara Yuma, Janice Santistevan (Greg), and Loretta Yuma (Erick).

Vera is preceded in death by her beloved son Joseph Morgas, Father Dicky Yuma, and brother Tony Padilla.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
