He graduated from West Chester High, then Penn State in 1966, and later SUNY Pace with an MBA. He served the United States in the Army from 1969-1971 and was honorably discharged.
He married his college sweetheart, Marnie Yinger on April 8th, 1967 in New Kensington, PA and was married 56 years to Marnie until his death. After a European honeymoon, they moved to NYC to follow the career path of an Ad-man. They had two children, Ian Howell and Lauren Jane (Brenneman).

He became a Certified Financial Planner in 1998, and worked as such for Merrill Lynch until his retirement in 2014. Vic had Parkinson’s and he and family struggled with the difficulties of this disease for his last 14 years.
He loved black & white photography and especially loved his entire family and enjoyed sharing his loves of skiing and sailing, and the beaches of Long Beach Island, New Jersey with them.
Vic was greatly supportive and always had a hug and smile for his children, and worked tirelessly to provide for his wife and family.
