Viola Cruz Archuleta, 93, of Taos passed away to Heavens gates on October 1, 2013 in Taos, NM of natural causes. Viola was born June 12, 1920 in Taos to Flavio and Elena Cruz. She is preceded in death by both her parents and sisters, Susana Martinez (Sam), Juanita Cohn (Harold), brother in laws, Bill Sarson, Tom Martinez and Neal Willingham. She is survived by her children, Isabel Vigil (Pete), Cecilia Ortiz (Ted), Johnny Archuleta, grandchildren, Richard Ortiz (Dianna) and their son, R.J. of Albuquerque, Dominic Vigil (Sandra) of Port Townsend, WA, Cindy Ortiz and daughter Lily of Everett, WA and Victor Vigil of Santa Fe, sisters, Perfecta Sarson, Eva Martinez, Lydia Willingham, brother, Frank Cruz (Lucy), nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Viola worked at Coronado Pharmacy in Taos for close to 30 years, and volunteered at the schools as a Foster Grandmother. She enjoyed family and friends.
Rosary was recited on October 6, 2013. Funeral mass was held on October 7, 2013. Both were recited at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
