In Loving Memory of Vioma Trujillo
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Vioma Trujillo, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong resident of Santa Fe. She passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on January 20, 1950, Vioma lived a life filled with faith, love, and unwavering devotion to her family and community for 75 years.
She was welcomed into eternal rest by her parents, Frank and Cora Selph, Jose and Cora Trujillo, her brothers Andy Trujillo, Francis Selph, and Iley Selph, and step-sister Aurelia Pacheco.
Vioma leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Alfonso R. Trujillo Sr., and their cherished family:
She also leaves behind her extended family, including:
There are many nephews, nieces, cousins, Godchildren, and distant relatives not listed whom she leaves behind as well.
Vioma's kindness, strength, and faith guided her throughout her life. A devout Catholic and dedicated member of St. Anne’s Parish, she found joy in prayer, offering rosaries, novenas, and chaplets for those in need. Her professional journey included roles at The New Mexican, College of Santa Fe, PNM, and the City of Santa Fe, but her true passion was serving her community. For 30 years, she was a proud member of the Santa Fe Fiesta Council, ensuring the traditions of Santa Fe continued for generations.
Vioma’s love for her heritage and home extended beyond service—she was a proud graduate of Santa Fe High School, Class of 1968, and carried her Demon pride throughout her life. She also dedicated herself to social causes, including a heartfelt run for County Commissioner to protect La Cieneguilla Land Grant, where she lived since 1979.
To know Vioma was to love her. She had a warm heart, a radiant spirit, and a laugh that could brighten any room. She was a gifted singer, lifting her voice to New Mexico’s beloved folk songs, bringing joy to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love, wisdom, and traditions will live on in those she touched.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Del Corazon Hospice for their compassionate care and support during this time.
