Warren Morey, 70, of Cerro, New Mexico peacefully went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Warren was able to have his dream job in law enforcement for 36 years. Throughout his career he worked as a lieutenant police officer in Arlington, Texas, was marshall in Red River, New Mexico and chief of police in Angel Fire, New Mexico. He was devoted to his family and strong in his faith in Jesus Christ. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Marjorie Morey, his brother, Ken Morey, his son, Joel Morey, and his grandson, Khaleb Cruz. He is survived by his wife, Mary Morey, his daughters Elizabeth Dolloff, Rachel Ortega, Emily Morey, Mary Ann Howard, Audrey Cruz, Amanda Slayton, and his son Joshua Morey, his brothers Gary Morey, Craig Morey, and Joel Morey, and his sister Karen Morey. Warren is also survived by three sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law, 18 grandchildren, and one granddaughter-in-law. Warren’s life has impacted many and he will be dearly missed. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
A funeral service will be held for Warren on Friday, November 12th at Faith Mountain Fellowship Church in Red River, New Mexico at 2:00 pm.
