Wendy Leigh Lucier 27, a resident of Espanola, went home to be with her parents on April 30, 2018.
Wendy is proceeded in death by her parents, Vasti Lee Martinez and Leonard Lucier. Maternal Grandparents Wilfred Mares and Goldie Masterson. Paternal Grandparents Bill and Senconita Lucier and niece Scarlett Aguilar.
Wendy was theatrical, comical and a free spirit who traveled everywhere, in her mind, heart and body. She loved her travels to visit family in Tucson and Wyoming. She was never afraid to be herself or speak her mind.
She leaves her fondest memories to her siblings, Elizabeth Aguilar and Carlos Martinez of Chili, Newly and Rebecca Aguilar of Artesia, Olivia and Andrew Moya of Albuquerque, Levi and Leann Aguilar of Rio Rancho, Nicolett and Mohammad Al-Abdulmuhsen of Kuwait, Chellsie Lucier of Rio Rancho. To Uncle William and Cindy Lucier of Espanola, Aunt Irene and Richard of Taos, and Aunt Edith and Johnny Romero of Espanola, she leaves her childhood memories. The special time spent with family with the first man she ever fell in love with, her dad. Special Uncle Lucas and Monett of Rio Rancho. Gina Sanchez and Sergio who took Wendy on one final road trip to Denver. Valerie and Jerome Sanchez who gave her a place to rest and dream.
Her favorite title in life was Aunt. She loved her nieces and nephews fiercely. She was proud of Michael, Saira, Lucio, Bernadina, Vashti Aguilar, Marilynn and Marcos Gallegos, Mathias, Isabella and Ashlyn Aguilar, Benito, Lilly and Daisy Ramirez, Emily Padilla and Raven Moya. In the last few months she spent a lot of time with her Great Nephew Zayden Lee Aguilar having fun at the park. Other Great Nephews include Jason Leahman and Nova Ray Aguilar.
Wendy leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. No one was more important or favored as she loved everyone equally.
A Rosary will be held at Rivera’s Family Funeral home on Friday May 11, 2018 at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will he held on Saturday May 12, 2018 at 12 noon in San Juan with Burial in Santa Cruz.
