William Andrew Cain – Age 83 a resident of Santa Clara Pueblo passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2008. He was preceded in death by his 2 sisters: Joy Cain and Rutena Meeks and 2 sons: William Andrew "Billy" Cain, Jr. and John Warren Cain. May their souls rest in peace. He was born on July 24, 1924 to William A. Cain and Francis May Kelly. He married Mary G. Tafoya on August 14, 1945. He retired from Hughes Aircraft in California and was a Wal-Mart greeter in Española for 5 years. He was a loving husband and father who always provided for his family. He loved to travel and enjoyed driving. He was a friendly and outgoing person who always had a big "Howdy" for those he met. He is survived by his wife, Mary G. Cain of Santa Clara Pueblo; daughters: Mary Rutina Diaz of Lamy, Joy Cain of Ojo Sarco and Linda Frances Cain of Taos; brother and sister-in-law, Warren Cain and wife Charlotte of Hot Springs; 10 grandchildren: Theresa Goebel, Edward Samaniego, RoseMary Diaz, Nina Young, Tierra Lye, Autumn Medlock, Tammy Garcia, Adam Silva, and Quaneau Anthony Silva and Melanie Cain; great-grandchildren: Rochelle J. Medlock, Leah, Elaina and Sarafina Garcia, Atlanta Keil, Conrad J. Lye and Drew, Tyler, Cameron and Jordan Goebel; and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary, with recitation of the rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Clara Catholic Church.
