William Sanchez

William W. Sanchez, age 83 of Dixon, NM passed away in Albuquerque, Sunday, March 4th. William lived in Grants, NM and worked for Kerr McGee for over 20 years and was a member of the Grants Fire Department of which he was so very proud of. He loved farming and caring for his beautiful apple orchard in Dixon. William loved storytelling and music. William was preceded in death by his Parents; Max and Filadelfia Sanchez, Brother; Max Sanchez Jr., Sister; Rosie Quintana. William is survived by his Companion; Lydia Gordon, Mother of his children; Rebecca Sanchez, Daughters; Julie Sanchez and husband Walter, Frances Montoya and husband Edward, Son; Raymond Sanchez, 8 Grandchildren, 26 Great-Grandchildren, and 7 Great Great-Grandchildren. Sisters; Mae Larranaga, Precilia Barcelone, Katie Lujan, Sisters in Law; Ramona Sapien, Thelma Aguilar, Brother in Law; Ruben Sandoval and Sister In Law;Clara Archuleta. Public visitation and Rosary services will be held this coming Saturday, March 10th at Rivera Family Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 6 PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 11 AM at St Anthony's Catholic Church in Dixon. Interment will take place at a later day. Serving the families as Pall Bearers are Rebecca Ann Pena, Herman Pena Jr., Richard Pena, Louella Montoya, Edward Montoya Jr., and Brenda Candelaria. Honorary Pall bearers will be all his Godsons; George Garcia, James Lujan, Chris Sanchez, and Kevin Williamson.
