Yolanda Archuleta

1945 — June 17, 2021

Yolanda Archuleta, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully in her home on June 17, 2021 surrounded by her loving husband, children, and siblings. She was born in 1945 to Rafael and Ursula Trujillo. She was preceded in death by her parents Rafael and Ursula Trujillo, her mother, and father-in-law Maria and Celestino Archuleta, brother-in-laws,  Leroy, Andy and Celestino Jr Archuleta, sister-in laws,  Creselda Madrid and Julia Herrera, granddaughter, Milliani Cantrell and great granddaughter Alexis Vargas. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Silviano Archuleta, daughter Danielle Trujillo, son Wesley Archuleta and wife Maria, daughter Roberta Cantrell and partner, William Curtis, grandchildren Amethyst Navarro-Espinoza and husband Juan Carlos, Jason, Carolyn and Rafael Cantrell, Ingrid, Daniel, Kayla and Michael Archuleta, Sierra, Jeremiah, Stevee and Royce, great-grandchildren Santiago and Carlos Navarro-Espinoza, brothers Arnold, Mark, Mario and Fabian Trujillo, sisters Cassandra Velasquez, Victoria Ramsey, sister-in-law Floraida Sisneros and many nieces, nephews and friends. Yolanda loved to travel with her husband Silviano by her side, having traveled the US, Italy and Japan to visit with her son Wesley (retired US Air Force) and his family. Wherever he was stationed, they went. After he settled in San Antonio, TX, Yolanda and Silviano visited as often as they could, only slowing those visits when traveling long distances became difficult for her. She enjoyed holiday and birthday breakfasts at Ricky’s with Silviano, daughter Roberta and her family. Yolanda loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a people person and enjoyed visiting with family and friends and proudly spoke to anyone that would listen about her family, the places she traveled to, and stories of her life and how she met her husband Silviano. She spent her quiet times doing crossword puzzles and cheating at solitaire – until she got her grandpad and cheating was no longer an option. Yolanda will be missed greatly by those that loved her. Services for Yolanda will be held at 10:00 am on June 29, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Taos. Burial services will be held at a later date at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. We ask all that loved and knew Yolanda to please join us to celebrate her life.
