Yvonne C. Martinez, 61 years old. A resident of Ohkay Owingeh and Dulce, New Mexico passed away peacefully on Friday December 4, 2020.
Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband, Augustine (Jr) Martinez, Jr. In-laws; Augustine Sr. and Angie Martinez. Paternal grandparents; Ismael and Tonita Martinez. Maternal grandparents; Lindo and Bessie Vigil. Father; Vicenti Martinez, Brother; Lenny Martinez. Nephew; Garrett J. Abeyta. Godparents; Percy and Maria Tapia.
Yvonne worked many years with Eight Northern Indian Pueblo Council (ENIPC) and retired from ENIPC Commodity Food Program. In her younger years, she played softball in the Espanola Valley and throughout the State. As her nephews, nieces grew up Yvonne enjoyed going to softball or baseball games. She was always parked behind the backstop, cheering them on. She loved to play Bingo, doing crafts, hitting different bazaars in the Fall and Winter, especially, hunting with her sons. Her greatest passion was all of her Grandchildren, whom she adored!
Yvonne is survived by her sons; Lindbert (Maya), Leland Martinez, Melvin (Melissa) and Howard Dishta all of Ohkay Owingeh. Step-daughters; Antoinette Candelaria of El Paso, TX. Stephanie Cortez of Midland, TX. Mother, Rosalind Martinez of Ohkay Owingeh. Siblings; Vince Martinez of Dulce, Shereen, Lemuel (Rexine). Bobbiann and Francis Martinez all of Ohkay Owingeh. Grandchildren; Lenaya, Anna Mae, Lien, Haley, Kaylee, Jaylin, Lainee Martinez, Lisa, Phoenix, Shyan Dishta. Godchildren; LeaRey, Austin, and Berina Martinez of Ohkay Owingeh. A very close and dear friend Deanna Sabori from Chandler, AZ. Numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces from both Ohkay Owingeh and Dulce. Yvonne was a loving daughter, sister, Aunt, grandmother and friend. Yvonne will be deeply missed by all.

Viewing was held Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 2-5 p.m. at Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola, with burial the following day at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Monday December 14, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.
